An ultra-high birefringent D-shaped microfiber device with birefringence over 4×10 -2 and insertion loss down to 0.2 dB is proposed experimentally demonstrated. When the all-fiber-compatible gets applied into a linear single-short fiber laser cavity, dual-comb large repetition rate up 431 MHz high repetition-rate-difference 250 kHz are realized. The single-cavity exploits of boost building asynchronous combs through polarization-multiplexing method. achieved several orders magnitude larger than previous works, revealing potential enhance acquisition certain measurement application scenarios.

We present a tunable and switchable single-frequency (SF) erbium-doped fiber laser (EDFL) operating at 1.6 µm. For the first time, multichannel Sagnac filter, “θ” sub cavity, saturable absorber (SA) have been combined to achieve SF operation of single- dual-wavelength tunability as well single-dual-triple-wavelength switching. The exhibited excellent stability, with no mode-hopping over 60-minute observation period. Furthermore, linewidths measured utilizing short-delay self-heterodyne interferometry method are less than 300 Hz. investigated narrow linewidth EDFL has potential extend applications in optical communications provide new idea for L-band lasers.

We propose and demonstrate an ultra-wide tunable mode-locked all-fiber laser based on nonlinear amplifying loop mirror (NALM) with the output of cylindrical vector beams (CVBs). The tuning range covers from 1029 nm to 1098 through intracavity polarization evolution (NPE) filter effect. switchable CVBs between radially azimuthally polarized mode purity above 90% are generated by incorporating a broadband few-mode long-period fiber grating (LPFG). It is first time realize near 1100 widest spectral in achieved our knowledge. pulsed at have 3 dB bandwidth 0.31 pulse duration 358ps.The narrow-bandwidth less than 1 obtained among whole process which high flexibility precision introducing what we believe be novel mechanisms NPE into NALM cavity. wide-range has potential applications high-capacity optical communication, imaging, optic sensing fields.
