The 2 μm spectral window is a host of variety applications in communication and sensing. However, the development nanoscale emitters for this has largely stagnated. Here, we present our growth, fabrication, testing InAs quantum dash (Qdash) lasers on InP photonics. samples were grown by molecular beam epitaxy. Ridge waveguide emitted at 1.97 μm, coinciding with ground-state emission from Qdash ensemble. A low threshold current density 131 A/cm2 per layer was calculated under pulsed mode conditions. Good thermal stability observed up to 50 °C, characteristic temperature 44 K. promising 0D laser gain materials
