Abstract We have successfully demonstrated high-resolution mid-infrared image transport by a multi-core fiber made of chalcogenide glasses. The cores are arranged on triangular lattice and adjacent different core diameters to reduce cross-talk between them. tested the resolution using fineness patterns found that it can resolve better than 25 lp/mmat wavelength 9.3 μ m. This demonstrates potential for thermal imaging inside human body.
