Compressing all the energy of a laser pulse into spatiotemporal focal cube edged by center wavelength will realize highest intensity an ultra-intense ultrashort facility, which is called as 3 regime or laser. Conic sections with two foci that can be used secondary focusing mirrors to reduce spot size from several wavelengths one wavelength. We investigate optimal conditions for ellipse and propose hyperbola - another important conic section also single-wavelength sized focusing, produce same reduced minimum spots mirrors.

Ultrafast optical frequency combs allow for both high spectral and temporal resolution in molecular spectroscopy have become a powerful tool many areas of chemistry physics. lasers generated from ultrafast mode-locked often need to be converted other wavelengths. Commonly used wavelength conversions are parametric oscillators, which require an external cavity, supercontinuum generation combined with amplifiers. Whether commercial or home-built, these systems complex costly. Here, we investigate alternative, simple, easy-to-implement approach tunable comb enabled by new continuous-wave laser technology. Sum-frequency between Nd:YAG Yb:fiber femtosecond beta-barium borate (BBO) crystal is explored. The resulting sum-frequency beam pulsed the same repetition rate as source. SNLO simulation software simulate results provide benchmarks designing future achieve conversion tunability otherwise difficult-to-reach regions.

In this study, we demonstrated a few-cycle pulse generation system delivering an 8-fs and 13-nJ pulse. The oscillator of is mode-locked fiber laser based on nonlinear amplifying loop mirror (NALM), which injected into the gain management (GMN) amplifier after pre-chirp by chirped Bragg grating (CFBG) passive fiber. Subsequently, hollow-core photonic bandgap (HC-PBG) employed to compensate for dispersion, achieving duration 49.8 fs with energy 51.8 nJ. Finally, integrate ultra-high numerical aperture (UHNA) at end HC-PBG spectral broadening. resulting range spans from 800 1400 nm. Dispersion compensation achieved using prism-pair, in further compression 8.2 fs, 13.1 nJ peak power 1.59 MW. With overall footprint <0.1 m 2 total volume <0.005 3 , delivers ultra-short pulses high while maintaining compactness stability, making it attractive many applications.

Compressing all the energy of a laser pulse into spatiotemporal focal cube edged by center wavelength will realize highest intensity an ultra-intense ultrashort laser, which is called λ3 regime or laser. Herein, we introduced rotational hyperbolic mirror—an important conic section mirror with two foci—that used as secondary focusing after parabolic to reduce spot size from several wavelengths single significantly increasing angular aperture. Compared ellipsoidal mirror, first high intensity, well some unwanted strong-field effects, avoided. The optimal condition this method presented and enhanced tight for femtosecond petawatt numerically simulated, can enhance focused intensities lasers physics.
