Cholesteric liquid crystal (CLC) is particularly remarkable due to its ability exhibit structural colour. Structural colour materials offer solutions for information encryption that feature good stability, ease of perceivability, and arbitrary patterns. This work investigates the temperature-dependent variation CLC provides a quantitative analysis pitch helix twist power (HTP) at different temperatures, further exploring potential applications in encryption. Photo-oriented liquid crystal technology utilizes polarized light illumination to achieve the directional alignment of molecules. This can be developed into polarization volume gratings (PVG), which possess and holographic selectivity characteristics. It also has a broad application prospect as an optical coupling element in waveguides for pupil expansion output. paper reports on fabrication cylindrical lens (PVLS) with beam diameter 2cm using photo-oriented combined off-axis path. During experiment, exposure angle controlled desired grating period variation range, enabling diffraction angles red, green, blue (RGB) incident different periods same. The experimental results show that within range 1721.2 nm 5346.5 nm, when RGB is 3147 2649.1 2275.6 respectively, measured are all 11.59°, error between actual theoretical ±0.5°; under 532nm right-handed circularly light, efficiency 18 normal incidence reaches 90.6%, oblique satisfying Bragg condition 84.4%; simultaneously, one-dimensional direction achieved, preliminarily verifying feasibility PVLS field color waveguides.
