Abstract Introduction Neuromuscular diseases (NMDs) entail a group of mostly inherited genetic disorders with heterogeneous phenotypes impacting muscles, the central or peripheral nervous system. They can lead to severe disabilities and shortened lifespans. Despite their severity, NMDs often lack in public awareness appropriate medical social support. Telemedicine improve patients’ caregivers’ lives by enhancing continuity access care. The first aim this systematic review was summarise status quo telemedicine services for patients NMDs. Secondly, barriers facilitators respective implementation processes should be analysed. Methods databases PubMed, Web Science CENTRAL Cochrane were searched May 2022. To truly explorative, any original evidence from setting included. Two independent researchers completed screening process. Data extracted analysed using taxonomy Bashshur et al. (2011) Consolidated Framework Implementation Research (CFIR). Results Fifty-seven papers included review. results showed high representation teleconsultations remote monitoring studies. Teleconsultations replaced person appointments telemonitoring focused on ventilation. Physical therapy, pulmonology, neurology, psychology most represented specialties. We found relating mainly referred intervention individuals involved. Technical errors inaccessibility due technical devices patient’s disability stated as hindrances. A positive mindset users well patient empowerment necessary adoption new technology. Technophobia uncertainty around technology negatively impacted Discussion This provides an overview current use distribution interventions between defined domains very heterogenous. Previous research has neglected fully describe process Conclusion shows that benefit multitude ways. Therefore, health policies endorse incentivise uptake institutions care workers. Further needs conducted confirm close existing gaps.

ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate the utilization patterns, effectiveness, and patient satisfaction of telehealth services among individuals with hypertension and/or diabetes, to investigate influence social determinants health (SDOH) on access in this population. Methods We conducted a cross-sectional analysis using data from 2022 Health Information National Trends Survey (HINTS 6) by Cancer Institute. The study sample included 3,009 respondents self-reported hypertension, or both conditions. Telehealth usage was assessed through 14 survey questions, participant characteristics were analyzed sociodemographic, baseline health, SDOH data. Results Of 6,252 HINTS 6 respondents, met inclusion criteria. Significant sociodemographic differences observed across diabetes groups. No significant found groups, 43.9% utilizing past year. Common reasons for use provider recommendation, convenience, infection avoidance. Social such as food insecurity transportation issues, more prevalent conditions, though no experiences noted Conclusion shows potential managing chronic conditions like demonstrating substantial adoption universal accessibility. However, disparities influenced highlight need targeted interventions ensure equitable access. Addressing privacy concerns, leveraging healthcare providers’ recommendations, tackling barriers are crucial fostering wider improving outcomes. Future research should focus long-term impacts further factors develop tailored that enhance engagement diverse populations.
