Previous research on lifestyle has primarily focused individual factors, often overlooking the broader influence of social determinants. This study aimed to examine factors associated with healthy scores (HLS) among older adults diabetes, emphasizing modifiable behaviors within framework socioecological model (SEM). A cross-sectional survey was conducted from July 1 August 31, 2023, in Jia County, Henan Province, utilizing a whole-cluster sampling method. Influencing were categorized into five levels based We used Generalized linear models associations between these and HLS, while adjusting for potential confounders. The included 5,451 eligible participants. proportion participants sleep habits notably low (14.71%). Higher HLS positively being female, better cognitive competence, greater engagement, unemployment. In contrast, lower significantly presence complications, depression, higher income, residing farther major roads. identified key influencing diabetes. Disrupted patterns emerged as significant concern warranting targeted intervention. Medical insurance directly affects accessibility economic burden medical resources. government should further optimize policies facilitate patients adopting healthier lifestyles choices.

Sleep disorders (SDs), a public health concern, can lead to critical physiological conditions, and are associated with mental behavior problems such as psychosocial stress, smoking, alcohol consumption, etc. This study aimed investigate the cross-sectional associations between dentofacial deformities sleep quality in young adults China. Data were collected from 2,479 (aged 17-25 years) enrolled at Fudan University across various regions of Participants completed self-reported questionnaire that included general information Pittsburgh Quality Index (PSQI) under standardized guidance. Dentofacial characteristics examined by experienced orthodontists. analysis employed one-way ANOVA, student's t-test, chi-square tests, multivariable logistic regression models. The revealed median PSQI score 5.92 ± 1.66, 16.3% participants classified SDs. Higher scores reported females, underweight individuals, southern regions. Among subjects, 44.36% exhibited protruding profiles, 6.86% had concave abnormalities prevalent. Logistic identified lateral profiles (OR 1.93, 95% CI 1.18-3.16, p = 0.008) anterior crossbite 1.44, 1.01-2.04, 0.043) significant risk factors for Additionally, reduced overbite was higher prevalence SDs, while deep acted protective factor. Moderate demonstrated statistical significance 0.51, 0.35-0.76, 0.001). These findings suggest association adults. Protruding facial crossbites independent predictors underscore importance screening SDs individuals highlight potential benefits early correction reduce adulthood.

Abstract The link between abnormal sleep duration and stroke outcomes remains contentious. This meta-analysis quantifies how both short long durations impact incidence mortality. A comprehensive search was conducted in PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, Embase, Google Scholar up to November 1, 2024, identify cohort studies evaluating outcomes. Meta-analysis performed using MetaAnalysisOnline.com a random-effects model estimate pooled hazard ratios (HRs). Results were visualized through Forest Funnel plots. Analysis 43 (35 on incidence, 8 mortality) revealed significant associations Short (≤ 5–6 h) associated with increased (HR 1.29, 95% CI 1.19–1.40, p < 0.01) modestly elevated mortality 1.12, 1.01–1.25, = 0.03). Long (> 8–9 demonstrated stronger 1.46, 1.33–1.60, 1.45, 1.31–1.60, 0.01). Significant heterogeneity observed ( I 2 74–75%), while analyses showed moderate low 35–40%). highlights U-shaped association risk, linked higher These findings underscore the importance balanced as modifiable risk factor prevention strategies provide foundation for Semmelweis Study, prospective workplace investigating role lifestyle factors unhealthy cerebrovascular brain aging.
