Here
we
introduce
a
new
assessment
of
emotion
regulation
called
the
Mentalized
Affectivity
Scale
(MAS).
A
large
online
adult
sample
(N
=
2,840)
completed
60-item
MAS
along
with
battery
psychological
measures.
Results
revealed
robust
three-component
structure
underlying
mentalized
affectivity,
which
labeled:
Identifying
emotions
(the
ability
to
identify
and
reflect
on
factors
that
influence
them);
Processing
modulate
distinguish
complex
emotions);
Expressing
tendency
express
outwardly
or
inwardly).
Hierarchical
modeling
suggested
delineates
from
them,

We
then
showed
how
these
components
are
associated
personality
traits,
well-being,
trauma,

Reflective
Functioning
Questionnaire
(RFQ)
is
an
8-item
self-report
measure
of
reflective
functioning
that
presumed
to
capture
individual
differences
in
hypo-

hypermentalizing.

functioning
(PRF)
refers

Reflective
Functioning
Questionnaire
(PRFQ)
