The
Alaotran
gentle
lemur
(Hapalemur
alaotrensis)
is
one

world’s
most
endangered
primates
and
shows
low
success
rates
in
captive
breeding
programmes.

study
tested
biologically
relevant
scent
enrichment
using
two
synthesised
mixtures
likely
to
convey
information
about
female
fertility
on
behaviour

unsuccessful
