Quality of life and professional wellbeing of Portuguese nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic: a longitudinal study

Several
studies
have
indicated
that
the
COVID-19
pandemic
has
had
an
impact
on
nurses'
psychological
and
physical
quality
of
life
(QoL),
as
well
their
professional
well-being.
The
literature
also
indicates
perceived
stress,
resilience,
social
support,
psychosocial
work
environment
identification
may
be
determinants
these
variables.
However,
no
examined
how
influence
QoL
or
well-being
throughout
pandemic.
Thus,
this
study
aimed
to
investigate
Portuguese

outcomes.
These
insights
highlight
need
for
targeted
interventions
reduce
enhance
foster
among
nurses,
thus
ultimately
improving
effectiveness
in
health
care
delivery,
particularly
during
high-stress
periods
such
pandemics.
