Abstract The present paper aims to determine and compare religiosity levels in university students ( n = 2098) from the United Kingdom 1010) Poland attempt an explanation of how nationality differences cultural context affiliations with different religious traditions influence their religiosity. current global trends regarding are marked by diversity, increasing polarisation between deeply non‐religious individuals. This phenomenon differs across national contexts, which makes its analysis crucial for contemporary sociology religion. ANOVA multiple linear regression were performed effect sociodemographic factors on revealed significant level groups, highest among nationalities other than British or Polish. Command English, age, gender, development academic performance influenced level. results suggest that students' is a complex phenomenon, shaped numerous variables, including nationality, affiliation personal experience. understanding these relationships may contribute better role religion life societies help adjust educational social policies diverse needs.

Background: After rapid epidemic growth between May-August 2022, new mpox diagnoses declined in Europe and the Americas, with low-level transmission continuing thereafter. Characterising extent of behavioural adaptation, vaccination, prevalence across these regions during first year outbreak can support understanding dynamics. Methods: A retrospective online survey 23 countries Americas 19-31 May 2023. The was advertised via four geospatial dating applications used by gay, bisexual other men who have sex men, trans gender diverse people. We described regionally compared prevalence, vaccination rates (2 doses) duration adaptation. estimated crude adjusted ratios (PRs) confidence intervals (CI) for outcomes using generalised linear models. Findings: Of 16,875 participants, 6·4% (1,086) reported having outbreak. Vaccination at least one vaccine dose 29·6% (4,987/16,875) participants; 20·8% (3,502/16,875) two doses. Complete Latin America (3·5%) Eastern Western Balkans (1·6%) significantly lower than (27·7%) North (51·3%, p<0·001). Adaptations to sexual behaviour were 50·9% (8,583/16,875) all regions. Among those made adaptations, 35·5% (3,045/8,583) said they continued adapting their up In regression models, participants concerns about (58·6%) more likely adapt (aPR 95%CI: 2·43 [2·34-2·53]), whereas 0·25 [0·28-0·31]) or had 0·37 [0·30-0·44]) less continue adaptations. People adaptations people (p<0·001). Interpretation: due widespread dynamic, responded evolving individual risk perceptions. Given stark inequity global response, but comparable reduction transmission, we propose that sudden decline seen end 2022 occurred as a combination community-led adaptation infection-acquired immunity. Abstract Most of the 2022 mpox outbreaks in high income countries, which predominantly affected men who have sex with men, peaked less than two months after detection. To stop outbreaks, people were encouraged to limit new partners, take up any offers for smallpox vaccination, and self-isolate. The relative contributions each these strategies outbreak reduction are hard know. consider potential efficacy measures individually, we constructed agent-based models using plausible partnership counts, reasonable behaviour choices published information about vaccination uptake rates UK context during 2022. Compared a baseline, no intervention scenario, partner was more effective at preventing generation secondary cases vaccine rollout speed that occurred These findings suggest by most community rather pharmaceutical largely credit causing case numbers peak as early they did.
