A phosphonium-based bifunctional ionic liquid (IL) Cyp-IL was synthesized to recover molybdenum and vanadium from industrial waste resources, such as the spent hydrodesulfurization catalysts. In comparison with reported versatile Aliquat 336-based liquid, developed investigated for its potential application recovery of wastes. To assess efficiency comparative extraction process, a comprehensive analysis conducted between ammonium-based 336 Cyp-IL. Vanadium in liquid-loaded phases were selectively precipitated using NH

This study investigated the optimization of remanufacturing process for spent Ni–Mo/γ-Al2O3 catalysts utilized in hydrodesulfurization (HDS) reactions. The proposed encompasses essential steps, including oil washing, partial incineration, acid leaching, and complete aimed at restoring physicochemical properties catalysts. incorporation incineration enhanced removal hydrocarbons sulfur compounds, leading to notable recovery surface area pore volume. However, vanadium was insufficient with alone, necessitating use an optimized acid-leaching step, where leaching time adjusted. remanufactured demonstrated superior performance HDS reactions compared their fresh counterparts. OPA(60)C catalyst, through 60 min exhibited highest desulfurization efficiency. These findings highlight critical role impurity duration catalyst activity. By enabling effective reuse, this offers a sustainable cost-effective solution industrial applications.
