Background Consistent with the self-determination theory and trans-contextual model of autonomous motivation in education, present investigation aimed to analyze relationship between extracurricular physical activity (ECPA) academic achievement (AA), mediating effects enjoyment, motivation, BMI among Saudi female education (PE) students. Materials methods The study followed as a descriptive cross-sectional design where sample 471 PE students completed self-administered questionnaire involving questions about their sociodemographic background, practice, school performance, enjoyment questionnaires. Responses were collected December 2022 January 2023. Path analyses chosen statistical method understand associations variables. Results theory-based showed an acceptable fit data: (i) Standardized Root Mean Square Residual, SRMR = 0.084; (ii) comparative index, CFI 0.952; (iii) Non-normed Fit Index, NNFI 0.956; (iv) root mean square error approximation, RMSEA 0.051 (with CI 90%: 0.048-0.072). Analysis revealed no significant direct effect ECPA on AA ( ß 0.052, p > 0.05), indirect intrinsic accounted for 20.04% total (22.9%). Conclusion mediate findings carry implications teachers, principals program makers encouraging ECPA, supporting body image perception

El objetivo de este trabajo fue analizar hallazgos más importantes y características instrumentos usados para medir apoyo a la autonomía en estudiantes educación superior general, resaltando lo realizado el área ciencias cultura física, reportados recientemente literatura. Bases datos utilizadas fueron: Scielo, EBSCO, Google Académico, Dialnet, Worldwide Science SCOPUS. Solo 20 trabajos cumplieron con los indicadores CASPE. Todos estudios utilizaron enfoques cuantitativos, sobresaliendo diseño correlacional, tendencia unánime hacia uso escalas tipo Likert. Un hallazgo importante que, mayor precepción sus docentes, es su autoeficacia compromiso académico, facilitando aprendizaje.
