Aim
This
cohort
study
aimed
to
assess
weight
loss
associated
with
new
long‐term
care
insurance
(LTCI)
certifications
over
a
9‐year
period,
accounting
for
the
competing
risk
of
death.
Methods
We
analyzed
data
from
3749
Japanese
individuals
aged
≥65
years
in
Kami
Town,
Hyogo
Prefecture,
Japan.
Weight
was
assessed
using
Kihon
Checklist
during
baseline
survey.
Data
regarding
LTCI
were
collected
until
March
2022.
Cox
proportional
hazards
models
used
calculate
adjusted
hazard
ratios
(HRs)
certification
because
loss,
confounding
factors.
To
exclude
effect

Fine‐Gray
regression

subdistribution

Subgroup
analyses
carried

Background:
Malnutrition
is
a
major
geriatric
syndrome
with
multiple
causative
factors
and
severe
complications
that
lead
to
increased
mortality
morbidity
rates
specifically
among
older
adults
chronic
diseases.
Aim
of
the
study:
To
assess
malnutrition
identify
main
risk
associated
elderly
patients
selected
diseases
(hypertension
diabetes).
Research
design:
A
cross
sectional
descriptive
research
design
was
utilized.
Subjects:
purposive
sample
(100)
involved
in
current
study.
Setting:
The
study
carried
out
medical
outpatient
clinics,
at
Minia
University
Hospital,

samples
malnutrition,

significant
differences
regarding
(age,
income,
education,
physiological
psychological
factors).Conclusion:
More
diabetes
and/or
hypertension
for
malnutrition.

age,
place
residence,
low
income
significantly
affected
their
nutritional
status.

Recommendations:
Educational
