A high-fat diet leads to metabolic disturbances, which are important factors in the development of obesity. Gut microbial composition and diversity altered by a diet. In general, resulted increased Firmicutes abundance decreased alpha diversity. Bile acids (BAs) involved digestion absorption fats small intestine also substrates microorganisms with bile salt hydrolase (BSH) activity. High-fat diets (HFDs) have been shown alter gut microbiota BA profiles murine models. Similarly, probiotic supplementation reverses HFD-induced adverse effects. This review focuses on energy characteristics its effects body weight, plasma lipid-related biochemical markers, changes microbiome characteristics, role BAs. The regular mechanism affects intestinal microenvironment was attempted be found.
