Abstract Biological individuality is without a doubt key concept in philosophy of biology. Questions around the organisms, species, and biological systems can be traced throughout biology since discipline’s inception, not to mention sustained attention they have received more broadly. It’s high time topic got its own Cambridge Element. McConwell’s Individuality falls short an authoritative overview debate on individuality. However, it sends welcome message new seasoned scholars reorient towards practically politically relevant themes.
