Aging is a natural biological process characterized by the gradual decline of physiological functions, leading to an increased risk chronic diseases and heightened susceptibility mortality. This review investigates therapeutic potential products in modifying aging‐related cellular processes, including OS, inflammation, senescence. Since ancient times, herbal treatments have been utilized extensively throughout civilizations. Their ability treat age‐related illnesses has well documented, they significantly impacted research on aging. We investigate mechanisms action substances such as rapamycin, resveratrol, its derivatives, their functions controlling important signaling pathways reducing oxidative damage. thoroughly explains underlying how chemicals may be used valuable scaffolds for developing new drugs. The current manuscript highlights ingredients aging management better results future.

Abstract Volumetric muscle loss (VML) is the traumatic of skeletal muscle, resulting in chronic functional deficits and pathological comorbidities, including altered whole‐body metabolic rate respiratory exchange ratio (RER), despite no change physical activity animal models. In other injury models, treatment with β 2 receptor agonists (e.g. formoterol) improves function. We aimed first to examine if restricting following affects function, second, enhance contractile function remaining VML through formoterol. Adult male C57Bl/6J mice ( n = 32) underwent posterior hindlimb compartment were randomly assigned unrestricted or restricted formoterol treatment; age‐matched naïve 4) controls for biochemical analyses. Longitudinal 24 h evaluations metabolism conducted VML. vivo was assessed terminally, muscles biochemically evaluated protein expression, mitochondrial enzyme untargeted metabolomics. Restricting chronically after had greatest effect on RER, reflected reduced lipid oxidation, although changes attenuated by treatment. Formoterol enhanced injured mass, while mitigating deficits. These novel findings indicate restriction may recapitulate clinically, adjunctive oxidative create a metabolically beneficial intramuscular environment enhancing muscle's mass force‐producing capacity. Anti-aging research has become critical since the elderly population is increasing dramatically in this era. With establishment of frailty phenotype and index, importance anti-frailty concurrently enlightened. The application natural phytochemicals against aging or always intriguing, abundant related studies have been published. Various models are designed for biological research, each model its strength weakness deciphering complex mechanisms. In article, we attempt to show potential Caenorhabditis elegans study phytochemicals' effects on anti-aging by comparing it other animal models. review, lifespan extension demonstrated various physical, cellular, molecular biomarkers dietary phytochemicals, including resveratrol, curcumin, urolithin A, sesamin, fisetin, quercetin, epigallocatechin-3-gallate, epicatechin, spermidine, sulforaphane, along with extracts broccoli, cocoa, blueberry. Meanwhile, frequency studied presented publications 2010 were analyzed, most commonly mentioned rats, mice, nematode C. elegans. This up-to-date summary effect certain powerful human population.

Background The complex interplay between vascular contractility and mitochondrial function is central to cardiovascular disease. progranulin gene ( GRN ) encodes glycoprotein PGRN (progranulin), a ubiquitous molecule with known anti‐inflammatory property. However, the role of in disease remains undefined. In this study, we sought dissect significance regulation investigate interface quality. Methods Results We used aortae from male female C57BL6/J wild‐type (PGRN+/+) B6(Cg)‐Grntm1.1Aidi/J (PGRN−/−) mice. Our results showed suppression contractile activity PGRN−/−, followed by reduced α‐smooth muscle actin expression. Mechanistically, deficiency suppressed respiration, induced fission, disturbed autophagy process redox signaling, while restoration levels PGRN−/− mice via lentivirus delivery ameliorated boosted mitochondria activity. addition, vivo treatment fission inhibitor restored quality contractility, smooth cells overexpressing displayed higher lysosome biogenesis, accelerated mitophagy flux, respiration accompanied hypercontractility. Finally, angiotensin II failed induce suggesting key maintain tone. Conclusions findings suggest that preserves regulating dynamics, signaling. Therefore, loss appears as pivotal risk factor
