Abstract Renewable energy utilization has gained much attention in the recent time owing to sharp increase power demand. Out of different renewable sources, photovoltaic (PV) forms is one key focus. Power converter such as multilevel inverters (MLIs) are proven components for PV systems well other applications motor drives, electric vehicles, and charging stations. With advancement design MLIs, switched-capacitor (SC) based MLIs have been widely deployed their boosting capability which a major requirement systems. In this paper, reduced switch single input step-up 9-level SC MLI first proposed. Followed by this, new Rat Swarm Optimization (RSO) Selective Harmonic Elimination (SHE) control method incorporated switching operation. RSO ability provide solution with higher competency within less computationally complex approach. The operation proposed structure analyzed its advantages justified comparison exiting topologies. effectiveness SHE scheme also verified comparing it nature-inspired algorithms. workability system examined using simulation experimental tests.

The never-ending issue of inadequate energy availability is constantly on the outermost layer. Consequently, an ongoing effort has been made to improve electric power plants and system configurations. Photovoltaic Distributed Generators (PVDG) compensators such as Static Var Compensator (DSVC) are center these recent advances. Due its high complexity, devices' optimum locating dimensions a relatively new in Electrical Distribution Grid (EDG). A modified version Newton Raphson Based Optimizer (mNRBO) carried out optimally allocate PVDG DSVC devices tested IEEE 33 69 bus EDG. mNRBO algorithm integrates four parameters enhance NRBO's performance by addressing limitations balancing exploration exploitation. article suggested novel Multi-Objective Functions (MOF), which have considered optimize concurrently overall amount active loss (APL), voltage deviation (VD), relays operation time (TRELAY), well coordination interval (CTI) between primaries backup set up proposed surpasses basic NRBO version, long another alternative algorithm, while providing very good results, minimizing APL from 210.98 kW until 26.482 224.948 18.763 for respectively. Which proves capability solving challenges.

Abstract Accurate harmonic estimation is essential for effective power quality assessment, designing appropriate filters, and ensuring the reliable operation of electrical equipment. This article proposes a novel hybrid technique combining recursive least square (RLS) arithmetic optimization algorithm (AOA) accurate harmonics, inter-harmonics sub-harmonics. AOA new meta-heuristic method based on distribution behaviour main operators such as addition, subtraction, multiplication division. RLS used amplitude whereas phase estimated by AOA. The performance AOA–RLS investigated in detail system signals using two set test buried with noise. proposed proved to be efficient estimating both parameters under different signal noise ratio (SNR) conditions an error E −3 . efficacy demonstrated comparing competitive existing techniques. also verified experimental studies.
