This study explores minoritized mothers' experiences in group interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT-G) and relates their to treatment outcomes. Quantitative qualitative data were gathered from 26 Latinx Black mothers who participated IPT-G. Mothers divided into three groups: (1) not depressed at follow-up, (2) (3) those with subclinical symptoms throughout the intervention, similarities differences across groups examined. Results showed that follow-up reported high levels of emotional safety IPT-G, facilitating processing. referenced impact stigma had greater difficulty sharing feelings also lower socioeconomic status higher trauma. It appears environmental stressors developing trusting therapeutic relationships related experiencing depression conclusion treatment. Alternatively, for many mothers, IPT-G provided within head start was an effective option.
