Virtual spaces that allow parents in the postpartum period to connect, support each other, and exchange information have been increasing popularity. With COVID-19 pandemic, many had rely on virtual platforms as a primary means connect with others attend their health. This study explored sessions through web-based videoconferencing software, Zoom. Guided by feminist poststructuralism sociomaterialism, we held seven for caring baby 0–12 months age, Canada, interviewed 19 participants about experiences sessions. Our methodological approach allowed us analyze discourses of (1) parenthood, (2) material realities environments, (3) this platform. The purpose research was understand how technology influences learning online parents. findings document an overarching discourse Zoom etiquette which muting discursive practice all used. consistent use mute button while not talking structured conversation resulted three themes: minimizing disruptions; taking turns; staying task. norm using changed received gave information. Based broader literature, discuss considerations facilitation

Telesimulation utilizes telecommunication technology to engage learners in simulation while different physical locations. Despite this potential advantage, understanding of the student experience and assessment learning telesimulation activities is limited. This study evaluates medical emotional self-identified through Kolb experiential framework qualitative analysis.Fourth-year students enrolled Spencer Fox Eccles School Medicine at University Utah participated 3 as part a required internal medicine course. Students were surveyed regarding their satisfaction with activity (N = 114) responded questions about areas learning. Free-text responses analyzed using content analysis identify themes until thematic saturation 66).Students highly satisfied telesimulation, greater than 90% expressing positive view realism, debrief quality, group size. Themes anxiety uncertainty, confidence versus incompetence, team dynamics, fun, difficult patient interaction identified experience. communication teamwork, managing emotions, information gathering, differential diagnosis, resource reference, executing treatment, knowledge student-identified learning. In experiences we found have rich emotional, cognitive, behavioral self-identify across variety domains. Our findings support further for demonstrate how outcomes via framework, learner's reflective observation learning, may help better define from simulation.

Postpartum support for new parents can normalize experiences, increase confidence, and lead to positive health outcomes. While in-person gatherings may be the preferred choice, not all or want join parenting groups in person. Online asynchronous chat spaces have increased over past 10 years, especially during COVID pandemic, when "online" became norm. However, synchronous postpartum been as accessible. The purpose of our study was examine how experienced videoconferencing sessions. Seven one-hour sessions were conducted with 4-8 each group (

The collective performance of construction project teams results from individuals sharing ideas and actions, this collaboration shapes their values toward common goals. Inter-brain synchrony (IBS) is a potential explanation for team performance, which the coordinated brain activation across individuals. IBS observed in other disciplines but not adequately studied engineering teams. purpose research presented paper was to explore existence during design build activities. study included 16 undergraduate fourth-year civil students who were paired form eight dyads. Each given same three tasks varying time budget constraints. Team members wore imaging device that measured change oxygenated blood prefrontal cortex. among all more prominent some over others. This protocol paper outlines an innovative multimodal and multilevel approach to studying the emergence evolution of how children build social bonds with their peers, its potential application improving artificial intelligence (AI). We detail a unique hyperscanning experimental framework utilizing functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) observe inter-brain synchrony in child dyads during collaborative tasks interactions. Our proposed longitudinal study spans middle childhood, aiming capture dynamic development connections cognitive engagement naturalistic settings. To do so we bring together four kinds data: conversational behaviors that engage in, evidence state interpersonal rapport, performance on educational tasks, synchrony. Preliminary pilot data provide foundational support for our approach, indicating promising directions identifying neural patterns associated productive The planned research will explore correlates bond formation, informing creation virtual peer learning partner field Social Neuroergonomics. promises significant contributions understanding basis connectivity children, while also offering blueprint designing empathetic effective AI tools, particularly contexts.
