Heavy metal pollution is today's most critical element, threatening the atmosphere and health. Lithium (Li), a heavy metal, has recently been extensively used in various industrial areas poses risk to environmental health, including human It well-known that metals can be much more harmful when taken into tissues via inhalation. Therefore, tracking decreasing alteration Li contamination airborne essential. The current study aimed define whether Pseudotsuga menziesii Cedrus atlantica are suitable for monitoring reducing air. Within scope of study, variations concentration depending on organ, direction, age range last 40 years were evaluated species growing Düzce, Türkiye, which amongst 5 contaminated provinces Europe. As result, it was determined region anthropogenic origin both but not use it.

Environmental pollution has increased significantly in the current century due to various anthropogenic effects, especially industrial activities, mining, urbanization, and traffic. Significantly increasing air become a global problem that causes millions of people die yearly. Heavy metals, most dangerous harmful components pollution, do not easily deteriorate disappear nature. They can be carried far from their source, tend bioaccumulate living organisms, some toxic, carcinogenic, fatal even at low concentrations for humans animals. Therefore, monitoring change heavy metal is critical. One effective methods determining concentration changes atmosphere past present using annual rings trees as biomonitors. In this study, variation Li concentrations, which one metals terms human environmental health, last 180 years, was tried determined by Corylus colurna L. tree rings, cut end 2020 Kastamonu province, Türkiye. Within scope, bark inner were also compared with woods, directional evaluated. As result, there significant difference between wood (p<0.05) except north direction element, obtained woods much higher than those bark. all directions, west direction, (p<0.05). However, generally varies narrow range, interpreted element being transferred C. colurna.
