Scientific approaches to managing the socio-economic development of Russian Far East have been studied and systematized. The contribution mechanism developing implementing state regional policy in Russia has assessed. study is based on theory regulation territorial development. goals, objects, methodological principles implementation are studied. It found out that Soviet times scientific management were focused reasoning for integrating macro-region its industries into system national economic planning, rather than logic purposes Eastern territories.
