Across the United States, number of children with mental health conditions has continued to rise. However, access and utilization services vary greatly. School-based complements comprehensive school counseling provides an opportunity for K–12 students receive needed treatment they may not otherwise have to. School counselors are well positioned support development, implementation, sustainability effective school-based programming. We provide overview implementation science case examples that detail counselor’s role in this work.

Abstract Objective Pediatric primary care (PPC) is a common treatment site for pediatric mental health, but it currently unable to meet the needs of all teen patients, particularly those with minoritized identities and/or marginalized experiences. Digital health (DMH) low-intensity treatments (LITs) can increase screening and capacity in PPC, how this done successfully without burdening providers, or families unclear. This paper presents pre-implementation study aimed at understanding implementation context (PPCs Chicago, IL) specific DMH LIT. Method Using mixed-methods design, quantitative data from an online survey providers assessed current practices qualitative interviews Pediatricians Psychologists examined determinants Quantitative were analyzed using descriptive statistics, rapid assessment. Results Survey reports (n = 105) 6) indicated low use DMH. Providers PPC clinics voiced multiple reasons usage perceived feasibility, including: Consolidated Framework Implementation Research (CFIR) Inner Setting Domain (PPC clinic workflow, responsibility ethical considerations, patient privacy confidentiality), CFIR Outer (hospital healthcare system factors), Innovation (DMH design), cross-cutting theme safety. Conclusions Provider-reported feasibility integrating call action partner interdisciplinary colleagues identify such settings ethically seamlessly deliver digital evidence-based accessible prior implementation.
