Abstract Thorough consideration of user experiences and the weighing advantages disadvantages are essential when implementing new technology in clinical practice. This article describes a primary care nurse’s experience using two technologies to monitor lung congestion six patient cases: remote dielectric sensing device for non-invasive fluid measurement portable handheld ultrasound device. Both can support decision-making assessing heart failure patients. However, technical difficulties interpretational complexities inherent their use. Balancing these finding effective strategies address challenges is crucial successful implementation.

There is currently a limited understanding of what nurses in nursing homes view as the key education priorities to support their ability provide appropriate care for residents with heart failure (HF). A modified Delphi technique was utilized gain consensus on working Northern Ireland. An initial list items (n = 58), across 19 domains, generated using findings scoping review and stakeholder interviews, available clinical guidelines. Two rounds surveys were undertaken. Items presented 5-point Likert scale, an additional exercise second round rank domains order importance. Fifty-four participants completed first-round survey 34 (63%) returned complete second. The highlight importance providing home settings general HF delivery person-centered care. Participants perceived around technology management quality improvement or research methodologies associated lower priorities. This study illuminates from regarding that are applicable this setting.
