Loneliness is recognized as a significant public health concern, affecting quality of life and outcomes, including cancer-related outcomes. Thus, it essential to understand the prevalence risk factors for loneliness in people with cancer. Through an exploratory analysis secondary data from Health Information National Trends Survey, we investigated correlates among adult cancer survivors (N = 1,234). An estimated 35.9% participants experienced moderate severe loneliness. Loneliness and social isolation pose significant risks for an individual's physical, mental, health including higher incidence of cardiovascular disease (CVD), poorer patient reported outcomes, earlier mortality compared to those not experiencing loneliness or isolation. Mental well-being is a multifaceted concept that reflects emotional stability, psychological resilience and social connectedness. This study examines how demographic factors, perceived loneliness, support influence mental in Spain. Importance Sexual and gender minority (SGM) adults in the US are more likely than their non-SGM counterparts to provide informal care family members and/or friends. Caregiving can impose substantial physical, mental, social connection issues on caregivers. Objective To examine associations among loneliness, lack of emotional support, sexual orientation, identity, caregiving status. Design, Setting, Participants This population-based, cross-sectional study used data from 2022 Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System collected noninstitutionalized civilian residents aged 18 years or older. Data analysis was conducted June July 2024.
