Purpose Digital sustainable maturity (DSM) is an important factor for gaining a competitive advantage. However, the literature on this topic scarce. This study was designed to understand and formalize concept of DSM investigate models measuring it in context supply chains. Design/methodology/approach To end, systematic review conducted using Preferred Reporting Items Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) tool, whose steps evaluation criteria resulted portfolio 87 articles. These were analyzed based pre-established from scope, design application. Findings The results revealed emerging field, but with domain still underexplored. No formal found literature. Thus, paper presents first definition which can be understood as organization’s dynamic capability leverage its digital assets promote performance economic, environmental social dimensions. Regarding models, 72 identified considering both domains. only nine them provided model evaluating DSM. Overall, presented varied architectures, made impossible determine consistent approach domain. Originality/value original systematically integrated constructs measure maturity. Furthermore, formalizes DSM, not existing
