ABSTRACT This study explores the impact of nano-TiO2 additives on sealing materials for methane drainage boreholes in coal mines. Varying contents (0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5%, and 2.0%) were investigated, with 1.5% emerging as optimal dosage. At this concentration, early-age strength increased by 28.6% at 3 days, while gas permeability decreased 77.6% compared to control mixture. The modified sealant exhibited accelerated setting, initial setting time reduced from 195 152 minutes. Fluidity increasing content, necessitating superplasticizer adjustment. Microstructural analysis revealed a 34.2% reduction total porosity refined pore structure. enhanced performance is attributed nanoparticles’ nucleation effect, pore-filling capacity, participation pozzolanic reactions.
