The integration of Industrial Revolution (IR) 4.0 technologies in the aviation industry requires well-trained and adaptable aircraft maintenance technicians (AMT). This study examines gap digital competency assessment initial training Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) technicians. To address this gap, develops a survey based on IR competencies seven dimensions, namely: problem-solving, communication, active learning, technical knowledge, analytical critical thinking, technology skills experience lessons learned required for maintenance. is validated by three expert panels specialising readiness. A total 234 AMTs participated survey, providing valuable demographic information about respondents. Findings from show higher proportion skilled AMT 21-30 31-40 age groups compared to low-skilled AMT. It noteworthy that there are significant numbers all squadrons. Many Corporals, Sergeants, Flight Sergeants have high qualifications, but some low qualifications.
