Abstract This study evaluated the peri-implant tissues under normal conditions and influence of experimental peri-implantitis (EPI) in osseointegrated implants installed maxillae rats treated with oncologic dosage zoledronate. Twenty-eight senescent female underwent extraction upper incisor placement a titanium dental implant (DI). After eight weeks was installated transmucosal healing screw on DI. nine weeks, following groups were formed: VEH, ZOL, VEH-EPI ZOL-EPI. From 9th until 19th, VEH received vehicle ZOL ZOL-EPI At 14th week, cotton ligature around DI to induce EPI. 19th euthanasia performed, processed so that at implanted sites analyzed: histological aspects percentage total bone tissue (PTBT) non-vital (PNVBT), along TNFα, IL-1β, VEGF, OCN TRAP immunolabeling. group presented mild persistent inflammation, higher PNVBT TNFα IL-1β immunolabeling, but lower for comparison group. exhibited exuberant immunolabeling when compared groups. Zoledronate disrupted environment, causing inflammation increasing quantity tissue. Besides, associated EPI there an exacerbated even greater increase DI, which makes this condition risk factor medication-related osteonecrosis jaws.

Background: With the increase in incidence of peri-implant complications, development implant surface coatings focused on improving osseointegration is need hour. The aim this study was and characterization selenium conversion titanium dental implants, representing an innovative approach to enhancing osseointegration. Materials methods: A 0.1 M solution sodium selenite prepared by dissolving it deionized water, with pH adjusted 4 using phosphoric acid. Titanium implants were cleaned, etched 10% hydroxide, immersed for 1 hour agitation. coated rinsed, dried, characterized Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), Energy Dispersive X-ray (EDX), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), biocompatibility, corrosion analysis. Student’s independent t-test performed compare biocompatibility coating-based (Group A) versus bare B) at 24, 48, 72, 96, 120 hours. Results: Material revealed successful coating that appeared as a generalized rough spherical agglomerates. proved its greatest percentage cell viability noted 24 hours p-value 0.653. No statistically significant difference among both Groups B relation biocompatibility. Corrosion analysis be thermodynamically stable good resistance properties. Conclusion: developed has proven potential exploration dependable coating. Additionally, extended vivo studies are needed validate clinical effectiveness.

Background:Several surface modifications have been performed on implant surfaces to improve osseointegration. The clinical results of these implants over a long term, however, not yet thoroughly assessed. Accordingly, the present registry data-based cohort study aims examine crestal bone loss (CBL) associated with sandblasted acid-etched and anodized dental implants. Materials Methods : Case records total 162 patients who underwent surgery (311 implants) using three different i mplant systems [Group 1: SLA ® (93 implants), Group 2: SLActive (99 implants)] topographies 3: TiUnite (119 implants)], followed by conventional loading between January 2022-June 2023 were enrolled. Digital X-rays at baseline, 3 months 1-year intervals collected from case was measured. A one-way ANOVA conducted for statistical analysis, Tukey’s HSD post hoc test further comparisons. Results: Implants in group exhibited significantly higher CBL than those groups 1 2 (p = 0.000). At 1-year, prevalence ≥2 mm (1.7%, 10.6%) (0%, 2.2%) (0%,0%). Conclusion: During one-year follow-up period, showed incidence relative

Abstract Aims: Interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β), one of the most potent proinflammatory cytokines, plays a crucial role in bone resorption and inflammation. Its concentrations are pivotal assessing inflammatory responses around dental implants. This study aimed to conduct comparative analysis IL-1β levels peri-implant crevicular fluid (PICF) among patients with implants different microgeometries. Materials Methods: A total 78 who underwent implant placement mandibular first molar region between September 2020 January 2021 were enrolled this prospective study, following rigorous inclusion exclusion criteria. Participants categorized into three groups based on surface treatment: sandblasted acid-etched (SLA, n = 27; Group 1), SLActive ( 26; 2), TiUnite 25; 3). PICF measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) at third month year post-implantation. Statistical analyses, including variance (ANOVA) paired t-tests, performed, P-value less than 0.05 indicating statistical significance. Results: significantly higher 3 (TiUnite implants) compared Groups 1 (SLA) 2 (SLActive) (P < 0.05). Pairwise comparisons 0.05) showed significant differences groups. Additionally, intragroup revealed increase from within each group P Conclusion: notably anodized (TiUnite), those (SLA SLActive). These findings highlight potential influence treatment inflammation resorption. Clinicians should consider as factor managing ensuring long-term success. Future studies could explore underlying mechanisms contributing elevated implants, investigate effects these treatments healing stability.
