Abstract Rice is an important staple food and the main source of income livelihood, especially for rural communities in Malaysia. However, area under rice cultivation Malaysia has decreased due to poor quality fields low productivity climate change. Agroforestry a system that combines trees with crops or livestock. It not only counteracts effects change by increasing resilience agriculture, but also combats poverty, security, land degradation. The aim this study was determine awareness perception farmers Siburan, Sarawak, toward agroforestry. data were obtained through questionnaire‐based interviews Kampung Skuduk Chupak. Statistical tests used analyze compare data. Farmers’ knowledge agroforestry practices limited, among non‐agroforestry practitioners. There no significant difference between practitioners as practiced on small scale household consumption there are commercial market opportunities products. Governmental non‐governmental organizations should organize educational activities disseminate information these appropriate education level age group target farmers.
