Reference intervals (RI) and clinical decision limits (CDL) are an important part of th e medical information needed to interpret the results a laboratory tests. The emphasis is on need distinguish between two concepts. RI allows assess compliance patient’s result with values detected in healthy population certain probability. CDL associated specific diseases risks may be more significant for decision-making than RI. When interpreting CDL, it necessary take into account possibility divergence different analytical systems as potential source erroneous decisions.
