Myopia has long been a global threat to public health. Timely interventions are likely reduce the risk of vision-threatening complications. There both established and rapidly evolving therapeutic approaches slow myopia progression and/or delay its onset. The effective methods for slowing include atropine eye-drops, defocus incorporated multiple segments (DIMS) spectacle lenses, lenses with highly aspherical lenslets target (HALT), diffusion optics technology (DOT) red light therapy (RLT), multifocal soft contact orthokeratology. Among these, 0.05% atropine, HALT RLT +3.00 peripheral addition yield over 60% reduction in progression, whereas DIMS, DOT MiSight demonstrate at least 50% control efficacy. demonstrates more optimal balance efficacy safety than 0.01%. 0.01% not consistent requires further validation across diverse ethnicities. These findings support the broader application of toric managing challenging refractive conditions and mitigating myopia-related complications. PURPOSE: This study seeks probe efficacy controlling analyze risk factors influencing treatment outcomes. METHODS: One hundred adolescent patients who were treated at our medical facility from January 2022 2023 randomly selected as subjects. All allocated either experimental group (n = 50) or control using a random number table method. The was subjected spherical lenses, whereas lenses. Changes uncorrected visual acuity, axial length, cylinder diopters, sphere average corneal curvature before after 12 months compared between two groups. logistic regression analysis conducted identify adolescents. RESULTS: Both cohorts showed substantial improvements sphere, their pre-treatment values, cohort showing greater than (p=0.01, 0.03, 0.00, 0.00). There no significant differences groups (p=0.56). Univariate unraveled age, baseline E value, central thickness (p=0.00, 0.04, 0.02, 0.05). Receiver operating characteristic curve displayed that area under for model attained 0.82, 95% confidence interval (0.69, 0.95), sensitivity 88%, specificity 72%, Youden index 0.61. AIM: To figure out whether various atropine dosages may slow the progression of myopia in Chinese kids and teenagers to determine optimal concentration for effectively slowing myopia. METHODS: A systematic search was conducted across Cochrane Library, PubMed, Web Science, EMBASE, CNKI, CBM, VIP, Wanfang database, encompassing literature on with varying concentrations from database inception January 17, 2024. Data extraction quality assessment were performed, a network Meta-analysis executed using Stata version 14.0 Software. Results visually represented through graphs. RESULTS: Fourteen papers comprising 2475 cases included; five different solution used. The Meta-analysis, along surface under cumulative ranking curve (SUCRA), showed that 1% (100%)>0.05% (74.9%) >0.025% (51.6%)>0.02% (47.9%)>0.01% (25.6%)>control refraction change (98.7%)>0.05% (70.4%)>0.02% (61.4%)>0.025% (42%)>0.01% (27.4%)>control axial length (AL) change. CONCLUSION: In children teenagers, can reduce Although is best one controlling AL change, there high incidence adverse effects use atropine. Therefore, we suggest 0.05% progression.
