Background:
Wrist
circumference
is
emerging
as
a
potential
indicator
of
vascular
health,
but
its
relationship
with
stiffening
remains
under
explored.
Objectives:
This
study
investigates
the
mediating
roles
Body
Mass
Index
(BMI),
weight,
body
surface
area
(BSA),
and
waist
(WC)
in
association
between
circomfrence
stiffness.
Methods:
cross-sectional

conducted
to
examine
effects
BMI,
BSA,
WC
on
wrist
stiffness
children
adolescents
aged
5
-
18
years
who
referred
pediatric
clinics
affiliated
Zahedan
University
Medical
Sciences
(ZaUMS)

Physical
examinations
standardized
measurements
circumference,

conducted,
parameters
including
arterial
distensibility,
Aortic
Stiffness
Beta
Index,
pressure
strain
elastic
modulus
evaluated.
Results:
The
analysis
revealed
that
significantly
mediated
specific
measures,
notably
for
modulus.
Sobel
test
results
indicated
significant
mediation
both
right
left
circumferences,
though
not
strain.
Conclusions:
findings
underscore
importance
composition
variables
cardiovascular
health
assessments,
suggesting
indirect
(IDE)
can
vary
by
type
metric
parameter.
These
insights
offer
pathways
identifying
at-risk
populations
tailoring
interventions
based
anthropometric
assessments.
