Electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) or vaping address a significant unmet need for traditional smokers who are endeavoring to quit this practice. We conducted an extensive PubMed search review the studies involving e-cigarettes as ostensibly healthier alternative cigarette smoking and approach cessation. E-cigarettes potentially carcinogenic, may confer severe cardiopulmonary symptoms inconclusively effective at occasioning cessation; hence, consumers should be circumspect when considering inhalation practice, especially vulnerable populations (e.g., teenagers young adults) exhibit greater proclivity adopting lifestyle choice. Since cessation results equivocal long-term safety addictive nature of nicotine-containing remain concerning, use inadvisable until proven otherwise.

Background This paper examines top-selling electronic cigarette (e-cigarette) brands and differences in by region the USA from 2022 to 2024, market share of Food Drug Administration (FDA)-authorised products 2023 2024 using e-cigarette sales data Nielsen’s Convenience Track system. Methods Regional analyses included eight US census divisions. We reported total unit brand, nationally region. Data on whether had FDA marketing authorisation were obtained FDA’s Searchable Tobacco Product Database. Results Nationally, Vuse, JUUL NJOY comprised majority (68.3%), (65.4%) (57.5%), Geek Bar emerged as third top selling brand (17.8%). Aside these brands, there was a large variation five across years. Approximately 13.8% product authorised for sale FDA, compared with 3.3% 2023. Conclusions The reflect challenges surveillance sales, use rapidly changing disposable marketplace, which new are introduced popularised at high frequency, manufacturers e-cigarettes adapt exploit regulatory loopholes. In context other emerging markets, like nicotine pouches, we urge regulators act quickly regulate products.
