Background Nomophobia is a public health problem of the digital age. Objective We aimed to assess self-esteem and prevalence nomophobia among high school students, identify factors risks associated with them. Materials Methods The study was quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional, correlational study. A logistic regression model used risk nomophobia. research conducted in northern area city Lima, Peru, 2023. High students between ages 11 18 years participated. were assessed using Questionnaire (NMP-Q) Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, respectively. Results total 630 median age 15 (Q1 = 14, Q3 16, IQR 2) Regarding nomophobia, 65.4% (n 412) presented 20.6% 130) had level self-esteem, 24.9% 157) low level, 52.4% 330) medium only 22.7% 143) showed self-esteem. variables higher frequency socioeconomic ( p 0.043), navigating internet video games 0.010), 0.009). Navigating during leisure time significant association an increased [Wald χ2= 6.093, 0.014, OR 2.281 (95%CI: 1.185 4.390)]. Conclusion frequent adolescents, there also presence consumption media time, particularly internet, increases adolescents. Thus, responsible use activities that strengthen adolescents must be promoted.

Internet addiction is an emerging public health concern among adults, potentially affecting psychological well-being and sleep quality. Although a substantial body of research has focused on adolescents younger less known about middle-aged older adult populations. This study investigated the relationships between addiction, quality, in 629 adults (aged 30–60 years) examined socio-demographic predictors addiction. Participants completed online questionnaires assessing well-being, quality (Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index). The final sample had mean age 39.4 (SD = 7.8), with 53.4% female participants. Most were employed (77.9%), nearly half held undergraduate degree (49.1%). score was 38.1 ± 13.6. Poor prevalent (67.2%), positively correlated total PSQI scores (r 0.593; p < 0.001). Higher inversely associated both −0.417; 0.001) poor −0.490; Younger age, gender, regular employment, higher income predicted greater whereas having lower scores.
