Abstract
Organometallic
complexes
of
neodymium
have
unique
coordinating
ability
to
form
both
micro
and
macromolecules
as
well
metal-based
polymers.
These
been
reported
in
different
fields
play
a
tremendous
role
luminescence,
catalytic,
biological
magnetic
applications.
So,
the
current
study
will
comprise
all
possible
routes
for
synthesis
organometallic
neodymium.

triple

with

O

The
detailed

classified
into
four
categories
but
brief,

by
reacting

Abstract

carbenes
(NHCs)
are
an
eminent
class
of
having
a
heterocyclic
ring
in
which
divalent
carbon

Background:
Azolium
salts
are
the
organic
used
as
stable
precursors
for
generat-ing
N-Heterocyclic
Carbenes
and
their
metal
complexes.

reported
to
significant
biological
potential.
Hence,
in
current
study,
four
tetra-dentate
azolium
were
derived
from
bis-azolium
by
a
new
synthetic
strategy.
Methods:
The
tetra
synthesized
reacting
imidazole
or
methyl
imid-azole
with
dibromo
xylene
(meta,
para)/
1-bromo
ethane
resulting
mono
bis
namely
I-IV.
V-VII
obtained
I
II-IV,
re-sulting
salts.
Each
product
was
analyzed
various
analytical
techniques,
i.e.,
microanalysis,
FT-IR,
NMR
(1H
&
13C).
Salts
evaluated
antiprolifera-tive
effect
against
human
colon
cancer
cells
(HCT-116)
using
MTT
assay.
Results:
Four
chemical
shifts
acidic
protons
between
8.5-9.5
δ
ppm
1H
resonance
of
respective
carbons
around
136-146
13C
indicated
successful
synthesis
Salt
V
showed
highest
IC50
value,
24.8
μM
among
all
com-pounds.
Conclusion:
Tetra-azolium
may
play
better
cytotoxicity
compared
mono-,
bi-&
tri-azolium
