Municipal waste water treatment plants have a fundamental task, which is to rid of toxic and health-threatening organic inorganic substances, including unwanted microorganisms other pollutants, with the highest possible efficiency so that discharged does not contaminate natural environment, happens in case imperfect cleaning. Current WWTPs usually preliminary, primary, secondary stage, very few cases even tertiary no longer guarantees sufficient removal pollutants from water. This research presents current situation different parts world concerning possibility solving regarding quaternary stages this process, especially small rural serving up approx. 10,000 equivalent inhabitants, could ensure so-called emerging microplastics, would stop being point sources environmental contamination.
