Inhalation of gasoline vapors (GV) is associated with developing various pathologies. Particularly, oil refinery and gas station workers are at greater risk lung cancer, kidney bladder hematological disorders, including acute myeloid leukemia. Therefore, preventing the harmful effects GV alleviating their consequences appear to be an important timely issue. In this study, we investigated potential vitamin D3, turmeric powder combination ameliorate toxicity fumes in rats. Separate groups animals fed a standard rodent diet, or without supplementation D3 (750 IU/kg body weight) and/or (0.5%, w/w, food), were untreated treated (11.5±1.3 cm3/h/m3/day) for 30, 60 90 days. Changes weight monitored weekly. Histological, biochemical, parameters determined end each treatment period. While exposure rats resulted time-dependent reduction weight, but not root combination, partially prevented loss. Macroscopical histological analyses showed pronounced changes organs tissues GV-treated These included alveolar wall collapse lungs, destruction lobular structure hepato-cytolysis liver, shrinkage fragmentation glomeruli kidneys, disorganization lymphoid follicles spleen. However, co-treatment nutritional supplements tested, especially noticeably alleviated above conditions. This was accompanied by significant improvement blood chemistry parameters. Collectively, our results demonstrate that environmental can reduced upon D3. The fact protective activity alone higher than combined suggests combinations these may always more beneficial agent applied separately.
