This study focuses on the development and characterization of a series six new dansyl derivatives (L1 to L6) their integration into PMMA polymers for application in environmental sensing. The photophysical properties these were extensively studied various solvents solid state. A remarkable positive solvatochromic effect was observed, indicating potential microenvironmental polarity assessment. demonstrated selective sensing capabilities Cu2+ Hg2+ metal ions, with formation mononuclear species.
