The frequency and intensity of flood events are increasing year by as a result climate change. This poses significant threats to human settlements adversely affects biodiversity, agriculture, infrastructure. One the most prominent traditional evacuation approaches is through use boats. Nonetheless, serious challenges exist with respect determining optimal deployment locations, routes, timing. Given research advances in Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) sector—and their ability offer real-time data aerial monitoring services—we argue that applications could help enhance boat-supported operations. In this opinion piece, we explore new opportunities for disaster management underscore advantages integrating UAVs into methodologies, including areas rapid field assessment, route planning, improved coordination between rescue Notwithstanding potential UAVs, emphasize several gaps be explored terms large-scale management/processing, regulatory limitations, technological know-how. Furthermore, provide recommendations bolstering boat protocols, preparedness training programs, policy frameworks, emergency response systems, which maximize efficacy scenarios.
