European strategic policy directions towards a sustainable blue economy have strengthened interest in maritime investments, thus increasing sectoral competition for marine space. Emerging repercussions out of such rising need to be handled by Marine Spatial Planning (MSP) as means for: properly allocating space diverse uses; managing conflicts and promoting synergies among them; pursuing multi-use perspective this A critical stage each MSP exercise is the exploration land-based spatial/developmental their current or potential environment order constraints but also perspectives choices/maritime uses context featured; attainment successful coherence coordination between land policies ensured, analyzing Land-Sea-Interaction (LSI) embedding it MSP.
