Vitamin D an hormone synthesized in the skin by ultraviolet radiation, regulating bone metabolism, but has many extra-skeletal actions as well. It been suggested that vitamin plays a significant role pathophysiology of cardiovascular diseases. Its involvement anti-inflammatory and antioxidant mechanisms results inverse relationship between levels cardiometabolic risk, shown observational studies. Randomized controlled studies have supplementation decreased inflammatory oxidative stress biomarkers.

Abstract Background Neurodevelopmental disorders, such as Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum (ASD), and Tourette Syndrome (TS), have been extensively studied for their multifaceted impacts on psychological, social, emotional well-being. Recently, there has growing interest in potential relationship with fracture risks adulthood. This study aims to explore the associations between these disorders rates, considering factors like self-harm impact of psychotropic medications. Methods Employing a novel approach, this utilized Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis investigate complex interplay ADHD, ASD, TS, fractures. The MR framework, leveraging extensive genomic datasets, facilitated systematic examination causal relationships genetic predispositions. Results findings unveil intriguing bidirectional links specific types Notably, ADHD is identified risk factor fractures, pronounced various anatomical regions, including skull, trunk, lower limbs. Conversely, individuals notably those affecting femur lumbar spine, exhibit an increased predisposition ASD. These results provide perspective neurodevelopmental emphasizing importance early diagnosis, intervention, holistic approach healthcare. Conclusion research sheds new light intricate connections offering valuable insights into links. fractures highlight need comprehensive clinical approaches that consider both psychological physical Early pharmacological interventions, diligent monitoring bone health are essential components improved healthcare strategies
