Identifying and projecting the epidemiological burden of gastric cancer (GC) can optimize control strategies, especially in high-burden areas. We collected incidence, deaths, disability-adjusted life-years (DALYs), age-standardized incidence rate (ASIR), mortality (ASMR), DALY (ASDR) GC from 1990 to 2019 China, Japan, South Korea, Mongolia Global Burden Disease Study 2019. The average annual percentage change (AAPC) was calculated quantify temporal trends, projection estimated by applying Bayesian age-period-cohort model. In ASIR declined slightly 37.56/100000 30.64/100000 (AAPC - 0.41), while declines ASMR ASDR were pronounced 1.68 1.98, respectively), which weaker than Japan Korea. Although rates most countries have overall past 30 years, downward trend last 4 years has become flattened. Smoking remained one main contributor DALYs Mongolia, with more 24%. contribution high-sodium diet similar between men women, kept relatively stable over three decades. predicted ASMRs among four East Asian continued decline until 2030, but absolute deaths would still increase significantly, Korea Mongolia.Although declined, world, China is on rise gradually. Low socio-demographic index aging along Helicobacter pylori infection, smoking, high-salt risk factors occurrence should be paid attention.

Abstract We aimed to estimate the incidence, mortality, and disability-adjusted life-years (DALYs) of stomach cancer at global, regional, national levels. Stomach resulted in 1.3 million (1.2–1.4 million) incident cases, 9.5 hundred thousand (8.7–10.4 thousand) deaths, 22.2 (20.3–24.1 DALYs 2019. The age-standardized incidence rate, death rate DALY were 15.6 (14.1–17.2), 11.9 (10.8–12.8), 268.4 (245.5–290.6) per 100,000 person-years, respectively. Between 1990 2019, global decreased by − 30.5% (− 36.7 22.9), 41.9% 47.2 36.3), 45.6% 50.8 39.8), In most numbers higher among males than females. A considerable burden was attributable smoking a high-sodium diet. Although rates have decreased, continued growth absolute some regions, especially East Asia, poses major public health challenge. To address this, responses should be tailored fit each country’s unique situation. Primary secondary prevention strategies with increased effectiveness are required reduce mortality cancer, particularly populations high disease burden.

In 2020, stomach cancer was the fifth most commonly diagnosed and fourth leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide. Due to relatively huge population base poor survival rate, is still a threat in China, accounts for nearly half cases Fortunately, incidence mortality rates presented declining trend owing change individual life styles persistent efforts prevent from governments at all levels. Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection, eating habits, smoking, history gastrointestinal disorders, family are main risk factors China. As result, by taking into account, specific preventive measures, such as eradicating H. implementing screening projects, should be taken better decrease burden cancer.

Abstract Background Drug use disorders (DUDs) have emerged as one of the most significant public health crises, exerting a substantial influence on both community and socio-economic progress. The United States (US) also suffers heavy burden, it is necessary to figure out situation from multiple perspectives take effective measures deal with it. Therefore, using data Global Burden Diseases, Injuries, Risk Factors (GBD) 2021, we evaluated this topic. Methods Annual DUDs-related burden were collected GBD study 2021. We calculated indicator estimated annual percentage change (EAPC) evaluate changing trend burden. Bayesian model for age-period-cohort was introduced forecast Results In number age-standardized rate prevalence particularly prominent, 12,146.95 thousand 3821.43 per 100,000, respectively. Higher observed in males, 15–45 years old populations, opioid subtype. From 1990 increased US all states, especially West Virginia; national death-related highest increase (EAPC = 7.96). Other inverse associations seen between EAPC, rates, socio-demographic index (SDI). Moreover, next 14 years, projected DUDs remains exigent. Conclusions has been enlarging. This proposes that greater attention should be paid strategies younger population, disorders, low-SDI states implemented by decision-makers achieve goals such reducing

Abstract Objectives This study aimed to examine the impact of pertussis on global, regional, and national levels between 1990 2019. Methods Data a global scale from 2019 were collected Global Burden Disease Study. We performed secondary analysis report epidemiology disease burden pertussis. Results During period spanning 2019, exhibited steady decline in age-standardized incidence rate (ASIR), disability-adjusted life years (ASYR), death (ASDR). Nevertheless, upon delving into an in-depth various regions, it was apparent that ASIR southern sub-Saharan Africa, ASYR ASDR high-income North America, Western Europe Australasia, witnessing upward trajectory. Moreover, negative correlation observed Socio‑demographic Index (SDI) inflicted by Notably, comparatively lower men than women, with 0–4-year-olds emerging as most profoundly affected demographic. Conclusion The decreased However, certain regions countries faced increasing burden. Therefore, urgent measures are required alleviate these areas.
