There is limited evidence showing how developing universities in South Africa have successfully adopted and effectively used online learning to support students for positive experiences. Presently, there are numerous challenging factors with regards Information Communication Technology (ICT) adoption African universities. The purpose of this paper was investigate the extent student at Africa. study resides an interpretive framework from a philosophical perspective as it adopts hermeneutic framework, literature obtained being classified, mapped, critically assessed, themes arguments developed. scant studies conducted published between 2000 2024 on pedagogical strategy findings resulted five emerging review. These major include lack ICT governance; poor digital infrastructure; skills; budget constraints; accessibility inclusivity challenges.
