Purpose The effectiveness of scientific seasonal weather forecasts as a tool to help rural communities in Zimbabwe make decisions is under continuous debate. This persists due communities' ongoing difficulty accessing forecasts, early warning systems and remote sensing technologies. As result, people continue rely on the repository their indigenous knowledge for decision-making, prediction tools change measurement. study employs Afrocentric lenses explore predictors used forecast changes patterns, well climatic variations that these can explain. Design/methodology/approach employed data generation such transect walks talking cycles. Thematic content analysis was analyze data. Findings identifies practices naming months, typologizing rainfalls forecasting based fauna flora, discusses how climate has been perceived by drawing practices. Moreover, were closely intertwined with food production overall resilience face changing climate. paper concludes both research practical support should start ideas related responding conditions, along meteorological knowledge. Originality/value underscores importance Indigenous addressing risks. It emphasizes value predictions, which predate modern stations have long benefited communities. Integrating this into adaptation policies lead more effective resilient responses change.
