Consumers gather information gradually to help themselves make the purchasing decision. The increasingly popular privacy regulations have made it harder for firms track individuals in real time. Even if a firm can consumers' browsing behavior, is difficult infer whether consumers like they see. Without ability consumer's valuation evolution about product, one may think that only offer constant price. major innovation of our paper allow price be function time rather than current product. We find not always optimal firm. It benefit from using non-stationary pricing strategies. When search cost zero, arbitrarily close perfectly patient. In contrast, slope bounded zero discounts future. there friction search, non-stationary, even particular, increases over too noisy or high. other cases where stronger incentive charges an increasing with high low initial valuation, whereas decreasing medium--value consumers.
