Background: Accurately and automatically segmenting the hippocampus into multiple subfields on MRI images is crucial for diagnosis intervention of various neurological diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease schizophrenia. However, small sizes complex structures hippocampal subfields, along with their unclear boundaries significant volume imbalances, pose substantial challenges automatic segmentation.

Pancreatic cancer is a highly lethal disease with poor prognosis. Its early diagnosis and accurate treatment mainly rely on medical imaging, so image analysis especially vital for pancreatic patients. However, of facing challenges due to ambiguous symptoms, high misdiagnosis rates, significant financial costs. Artificial intelligence (AI) offers promising solution by relieving personnel's workload, improving clinical decision-making, reducing patient This study focuses AI applications such as segmentation, classification, object detection, prognosis prediction across five types imaging: CT, MRI, EUS, PET, pathological images, well integrating these imaging modalities boost diagnostic accuracy efficiency. In addition, this discusses current hot topics future directions aimed at overcoming the in AI-enabled automated algorithms.
