This article presents a new process for in situ synthesizing barium sulfate/tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) core-shell (BaSO4@SiO2) and sulfate/zeolitic imidazolate framework-8 (ZIF-8) nanocomposite (BaSO4@ZIF-8). The patterns obtained from the X-ray Diffraction (XRD) analysis compounds BaSO4, SiO2, ZIF-8 showed orthorhombic, monoclinic, cubic phases space groups Pnma, C12/c1 Pn-3 m. Furthermore, confirmation of synthesis these was achieved through application Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) images spherical morphology with uniform distribution. photocatalytic efficacy BaSO4@SiO2 BaSO4@ZIF-8 assessed terms their capacity to degrade Methylene blue (MB) dye (10-5 M), resulting degradation percentages 95.9% 98.57% after 120 min, respectively. In present study, cellular toxicity investigated on B16-F0 cell line, IC50 values were 232.2 537.5 µg/mL
