Atherosclerosis (AS) is a chronic inflammatory disease characterized by the gradual accumulation of plaques in arterial walls, with its pathogenesis remaining incompletely understood. Recent studies have highlighted that development AS closely associated aberrant activation NLRP3 inflammasome arteries. Inhibition natural products and formulae derived from Chinese herbal medicines (CHMs) has been shown to alleviate AS-associated pathologies. However, therapies effectively safely target remain limited. This review aims summarize key discoveries recent on effects these context treatment. A comprehensive literature search was conducted databases such as PubMed/MEDLINE up January 2025, yielding 38 eligible studies. Our analysis indicates certain can prevent inflammation animal models targeting multiple pathways mechanisms related inflammasome. summarizes primary findings studies, focusing therapeutic underlying action. Based insights, we propose future strategies enhance efficacy, specificity, safety existing for Additionally, this study offers perspective research may our understanding roles CHM-derived phytochemicals regulating treating AS.

To investigate the relationship between dynamic changes in neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and neurological recovery noninfected patients with acute cerebral infarction after thrombolysis. A retrospective analysis was conducted on 277 stroke Least absolute shrinkage selection operator (LASSO) regression used to identify factors influencing recovery, 1:1 propensity matching performed groups compare National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) score, muscle strength, NLR treatment. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve determine cutoff value reduction treatment, which serves as a diagnostic criterion for neurologic recovery. posttreatment values were categorized according whether they equal greater than value. Logistic intergroup analyze NIHSS. LASSO suggests that increased disease duration atrial fibrillation are risk whereas prolonged treatment protective factors. Compared low-efficacy group, high-efficacy group exhibited significantly lower NIHSS scores, NLR, upper extremity strength scores (p < 0.05). positively correlated score change rate 0.001). ROC logistic indicated an ≥ 0.335 had good Higher indicate improved prognosis Clinical Retrospectively Registered Trials: ChiCTR2100045415.
