BACKGROUND Chronic pain, an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience lasting over six months, affects a large proportion of the global population significantly impacts health quality life. Certain diseases cause chronic resulting in social medical misunderstanding that intensity patient’s suffering. In recent years, media platform Twitter, now called “X,” has become valuable resource for research discussion on providing accessible environment communication information exchange. OBJECTIVE To analyze content Twitter related to fibromyalgia, headache, paraplegia, neuropathy, multiple sclerosis, as well characterize profile users involved these conversations, identify prevalent topics, measure public perception, evaluate treatment efficacy, detect discussions most frequent non-medical issues. METHODS 72,874 tweets English Spanish containing pre-specified keywords were collected between 2018 2022. A manual review was conducted 2,500 tweets, larger subset classified by machine learning methods. Subsequently, pain conditions analyzed examine their content, types X users, origin disease, efficacy treatments. RESULTS Of total collected, 55,451 (76,1%) classifiable. Background Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a demyelinating disease of the central nervous system. Caffeine, as most widely consumed psychoactive substance, has been suggested to have potential effects on clinical course and disability levels MS patients. This study aimed review current evidence coffee/caffeine in patients with MS. Methods followed Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) Manual for Evidence Synthesis PRISMA 2020 statement. Clinical regarding caffeine/coffee was considered. A systematic search performed PubMed, Scopus, Web Science, Embase October 2023, updated via handsearching March 2024. JBI's critical appraisal tools were utilized scrutinize risk bias. Results Out 297 screened records, eight studies eventually found meet our inclusion criteria. The sample size varied between 12 1372 designs retrospective cohort, RCT, single-blind crossover trial, single-arm pilot (each one study), cross-sectional (four studies).
